  • Fleet Safety Scheme

    Apply for grant funding to help improve the safety of your fishing vessels.

    The grant provides funding over a three year period for up to 40% of the amount claimed on boats over 12 meters and 60% for boats under 12 meters. The maximum amount that you can receive depends on the size of your boat. In addition maximum eligible costs apply for each individual item:

    - Vessels equal to or greater than 24 metres: max. grant €20,000
    - Vessels equal to or greater than 18 metres and under 24 metres: max. grant €15,000
    - Vessels equal to or greater than 15 metres and under 18 metres: max. grant €10,000
    - Vessels less than 15 metres: max. grant €6,000

  • SFI Spokes Programme

    Like the SFI Research Centres, the SFI Spokes programme will help link scientists and engineers in partnerships across academia and industry to address crucial research questions, foster the development of new and existing Ireland-based technology companies, attract industry that could make an important contribution to Ireland and its economy, and expand educational and career opportunities in Ireland in science and engineering.

  • SFI ERC Support Programme

    The aims of the SFI ERC Support Programme are: To enhance the benefits of applying to ERC schemes for institutions and applicants To increase the participation of Irish-based researchers in all ERC schemes To provide greater institutional support for Irish-based ERC awardees To increase Ireland’s success rate across all ERC schemes To recruit excellent ERC-funded researchers to Irish Host Institutions

    ERC award (2015 call or later) with an Irish Host Institution: €150,000, regardless of ERC scheme.
    ERC award from a 2014 call with an Irish Host Institution:20% of the award stated in the ERC grant agreement, up to a maximum of €300,000, regardless of ERC scheme.
    ERC awardee (from any year) recruited to work in an Irish Host Institution: The award may depend on the time remaining on the ERC award and will depend on the type of ERC award held, as follows:
    - ERC Starting Grant: up to €500,000
    - ERC Consolidator Grant: up to €750,000
    - ERC Advanced Grant: up to €1,000,000

  • SFI ERC Development Programme

    This programme is designed to encourage excellent but recently unsuccessful ERC applicants to resubmit to the ERC. To increase Irish success in future ERC calls. To improve the success rate of Irish-based applicants who resubmit to the ERC. To encourage researchers based in Ireland to submit to ERC programmes. To assist SFI’s eligible research bodies to recruit excellent but initially unsuccessful ERC applicants, and encourage them to reapply to the ERC for their own benefit and for the benefit of their new host institution
