The workshop "Navigating the Energy Transition in Aquaculture" will take place on February 19, 2024, in a hybrid format, both online and in person in Brussels, Belgium. It will focus on the energy transition in the EU aquaculture sector, addressing key challenges, opportunities, and solutions to support a more sustainable and resilient future.

Discussions will build on previous ETP sessions and case studies, helping to shape the sector’s Energy Transition roadmap. Experts from industry, policy, and stakeholder organizations will come together to exchange insights and develop recommendations for decarbonization and energy efficiency. The workshop will explore the role of inland and offshore aquaculture in the energy transition until 2050, the challenges that could hinder progress, and the actions and tools needed to overcome them.

For online workshop participants, transcription in all 24 EU languages will be provided, and interpretation will be available upon request.

For in-person attendees, interpretation could be available upon request. Participants requiring other languages are encouraged to bring a laptop to use the online automatic translation feature.
