4th Atlantic Stakeholders Committee Meeting

The 4th and final meeting of the Atlantic Strategy Committee under the Portuguese Presidency happened on December 5th, chaired by Marisa Lameiras da Silva, the Director-General for Maritime Policy

At the meeting in Lisbon, the balance sheet of an intense and fruitful year in office was presented, highlighting the excellent collaboration and cooperation between the four Member States and the advantages of opening up the Atlantic Strategy dialogue to non-European partners who share the Atlantic Sea Basin, namely Brazil, Canada and the United States. All information about these accomplishments can be found in this year's Conference Report

It is important to also highlight the signing of the Ministerial Declaration, approved last October in Porto, which sets out a number of commitments that will guide the work of the Atlantic Strategy over the coming years. All information about this important milestone can be found in the The first Atlantic Ministerial Declaration

Next year the Atlantic Strategy will be chaired by France - stay in touch to find out what the next year has in store for the Atlantic Community!
