Atlantic Action Plan Assistance Mechanism Roadshow in Spain


The Atlantic region is in a unique position for new developments in the Blue Economy. In this context, and framed within the Atlantic Action Plan, the event "Opportunities of the Blue Economy in the Atlantic" is a roadshow organized in Spain by the Atlantic Action Plan through its Assistance Mechanism. The event is part of the "Atlantic roadshows," which are technical regional meetings (autonomous community level) with the main objectives of:
(i) introducing the Atlantic Action Plan and its Assistance Mechanism
(ii) interacting with the most relevant stakeholders in the region
(iii) collecting the main project ideas and priorities of agents with the potential to carry out projects aligned with the priorities of the Atlantic Action Plan

In this context, the event on March 14, 2024, within the II edition of the Blue Atlantic Forum, is organized by the Assistance Mechanism of the Atlantic Action Plan and will take place from 16:00 - 17:30 (CET) exclusively IN-PERSON at the Parador de Baiona, Pontevedra, Spain.

The event will be divided into three main blocks:

  • Opening: With national representatives of the Atlantic Action Plan and Presentation of the Atlantic Action Plan
  • Presentation of existing opportunities in the Blue Economy at the Atlantic and Asturias levels
  • Roundtable discussion encouraging dialogue among stakeholders to foster the emergence of project ideas for the future and collaboration between regional/national institutions.

During the Roundtable, participants will address the following issues:

  • Experiences of their institution/organization/company in the Blue Economy in the past and present
  • Experiences they wish to develop/tackle/promote from their institution/organization/company for the future
  • Assistance needs (financing, partner search, etc.) of their institution/organization/company in the context of the Blue Economy
