The upcoming European Maritime Day (EMD) will be held in Cork, Ireland. This event will be an in-person conference for over 1,000 participants, with some live streaming options available. This event celebrates "maritime Europe," highlighting various maritime sectors and activities, and encourages European citizens to appreciate the diverse sea-related endeavors across the continent. It also serves as a reminder of the vital role the seas play in our daily lives.
As an annual gathering, EMD brings together Europe's maritime community to network, discuss, and plan collective actions on maritime affairs and the sustainable blue economy. EMD is also where 'Ocean Leaders Meet'. The event offers an interactive experience to catch up on the latest developments in the blue economy and marine environment, and to discuss future directions. It features inspirational speakers, themed sessions, stakeholder workshops, exhibitions, and plenty of networking opportunities. The event is geared towards professionals from businesses, governments, public institutions, NGOs, academia, and EU citizens with an interest in the sea.
EMD 2025 is organized by the European Commission, Cork City Council, and the Irish Department of Environment, Climate and Communications.
