Territorial strategies, such as macro-regional and sea-basin strategies, inspire and provide orientation for more effective cooperation and investment, to deliver greater coordinated impacts in regions affected by shared challenges and needs. They also offer access to partnerships and coordination frameworks. Over the past months, the programming authorities and the European Commission have jointly worked hard on setting up the new generations of the European Structural and Investment fund programmes paying special attention to reaping the benefits offered by the EU macro-regional strategies and sea basin strategies.
With the first programmes adopted, we will be soon turning our full attention to the implementation phase. But how to approach the practical implementation of the planned cooperation measures supporting the embedding of the EU macro-regional and sea basin strategies? This will be the focus of the online webinar.
The aim of the meeting is to bring together representatives from the Cohesion policy funds national/regional (mainstream) programmes Managing Authorities, Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA III) programmes, Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDCI) programmes, as well as the Interreg programmes and EU macro-regional strategies and sea-basin strategies implementers to:
- facilitate the embedding of cooperation in funding programmes; as well as
- offer room for open discussion on the practical implementation and embedding of the EU macro-regional and sea basin strategies.
Target groups:
Cohesion Policy funded mainstream programmes, European Social Funds Plus (ESF+) programmes, European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) programmes, Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA III) programmes, Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDCI) programmes, as well as the Interreg programmes and EU macro-regional strategies implementers (National coordinators and thematic coordinators) and sea-basin strategies implementers (National coordinators and National hubs).
