
ADT4Blue (Advanced Digital Technologies for the Blue Economy) is a European initiative designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy through the adoption of cutting-edge digital technologies such as AI, blockchain, and IoT. The project supports early-stage ideas and ventures that aim to address real-world challenges in maritime sectors, promoting sustainability, digital transformation, and economic growth.
What is Open Call 2?
Open Call 2 (OC2) is the second round of ADT4Blue’s acceleration programme, now accepting applications from individuals and teams with innovative solutions for the Blue Economy. The programme will select 30 proposals to join a tailored 6-month support journey, helping participants refine their ideas and bring them closer to market.
Who Can Apply?
ADT4Blue welcomes applications from:
Entrepreneurs and startups
Legally established SMEs
Researchers, students, and alumni
Innovators and domain experts
Individuals or teams with a passion for solving Blue Economy challenges
Applicants must be based in a European country or a Horizon Europe associated country.
What Can Be Funded?
Projects should address one of the 11 challenges across 8 Blue Economy domains, including:
Coastal and tourism solutions
Communication and data analytics
Port activities
Ocean renewable energies
Maritime transport
Aquaculture and fisheries
Ocean monitoring and conservation
Marine ecosystem protection
Selected participants will receive:
Tailored training and mentorship
Pitching opportunities
Entrepreneurship workshops
Networking events
Business model development support

How to Apply
