3rd ASC meeting - outcomes

The 3rd ASC (Atlantic Steering Committee) Meeting, held under the French Presidency, took place on October 17th in Brest. The meeting was attended both in person and remotely by Committee members and guests.

The agenda was robust, with interventions aimed at finding collaborative strategies and initiatives for the Atlantic region's maritime domain. The main topics discussed, focusing on Pillar IV, included:

  • Internationalisation: Progress on future relationships with the UK and Norway
  • Cross-sea Basin Dialogue
  • Coastal Resilience and Ocean Observation: The work of AAORIA

During the meeting, the Interreg Atlantic Management Authority provided updates on ongoing and future actions linked with the AMS. ATN presented their activities from the past months, and CPMR shared updates on ongoing and future actions related to the AMS. As usual, CINEA updated the committee on calls and funding opportunities.

The main achievements of the last two years by previous Pillar Coordinators were presented, and the new Pillar Coordinators elected in the previous ASC outlined their roadmaps for the upcoming year. National Hub representatives also presented their roadmaps.

After lunch, participants attending in person enjoyed a very interesting visit to Océanopolis with Pillar II Coordinator Céline Liret.
