Young People are Shaping the Future of Our Ocean - and you can be one of them

If you care about the ocean, climate, or the future of our planet, the Youth4Ocean Forum is one of the most exciting communities you can join. It’s a Europe‑wide network of motivated young people (ages 16–30) who want to learn, take action, and make a real impact on the health of our seas and coasts.

What Is the Youth4Ocean Forum?

The Youth4Ocean Forum is part of the EU4Ocean Coalition, a major European initiative focused on ocean literacy, sustainability, and the blue economy. It brings together young people from all backgrounds - science, arts, policy, entrepreneurship, communication, civil society, and more - and gives them a platform to grow, collaborate, and lead.

It’s not about being an expert. It’s about being motivated, curious, and ready to contribute.

What You Get When You Join

Each benefit below starts with a Guided Link so you can explore the angle you care about most.

  • Project visibility - share your ocean‑related work and get featured across Youth4Ocean channels, helping your ideas reach a wider audience.

  • Policy engagement - participate in discussions that influence ocean‑related policies and decision‑making.
  • Internship pathways - explore opportunities in the growing blue‑economy sector.

How to join:

Becoming part of the Youth4Ocean Forum is simple:

  1. Fill out the application form: you’ll be asked how you want to engage with the community.
  2. Choose your involvement path: whether you want to lead a project, join events, or simply stay connected, there’s a route for you.
  3. Wait for review: the coordination team evaluates each application to match you with the right opportunities.

This flexibility means you can join whether you’re just starting your ocean journey or already running your own initiative.

Why This Matters

Europe’s seas are facing unprecedented challenges - pollution, biodiversity loss, climate impacts, and pressures on coastal communities. The Youth4Ocean Forum empowers young people to be part of the solution by giving them the tools, community, and visibility they need to drive change.

It’s a space where ideas become action, and where passion becomes impact.
