The European Commission is seeking feedback on a future Water Resilience Research and Innovation Strategy, covering freshwater management, water efficiency, reuse and innovative solutions for sustainable water systems.
Why it matters
Contributions will help define future EU research and investment priorities, strengthen coordination between programmes and accelerate the deployment of water-resilience solutions. For Atlantic stakeholders, the initiative supports a source-to-sea approach, connecting freshwater, coastal and marine ecosystem management.
Public authorities, researchers, water operators, businesses, technology providers and environmental organisations are invited to contribute by 2 August 2026.
