The European Commission is seeking feedback on a future European Ocean Research and Innovation Strategy, expected by the end of 2026. The initiative aims to strengthen coordination across Europe, accelerate the uptake of innovative technologies and guide future investment in ocean research.
The Strategy will support healthier marine ecosystems, climate resilience and a competitive sustainable blue economy. Researchers, innovators, policymakers, businesses and maritime stakeholders are invited to contribute their evidence and priorities by 2 August 2026.
