The Pillar I National Event on Ports and Climate Change Adaptation will take place in Vigo, Spain, on 29th October.

This in-person event will showcase the work carried out under the Atlantic Action Plan, with a particular focus on Pillar I: Ports as Gateways and Hubs for the Blue Economy.

Led by Mr. Carlos Botana, President of the Port Authority of Vigo, Pillar I has made significant progress in defining the role of ports in the energy transition. The initiative has explored potential energy sources and developed prototypes to guide ports through this transformation.

The Port of Vigo has also advanced protocols for climate change adaptation and is ready to share its insights, fostering a collaborative discussion among EU ports on how to better prepare for climate-related challenges.

We invite stakeholders, experts, and port authorities to join us for this important dialogue. Don’t miss the opportunity to engage, learn, and network with peers across the EU.
