The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership has launched its Third Joint Transnational Call for Research and Innovation Projects, offering €43.5 million to support transformative initiatives that advance a resilient, climate-neutral, and inclusive blue economy.

This call is co-branded by the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development and aligns with the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”, aiming to foster collaboration across 30+ countries.

Key Focus Areas

Applicants are invited to submit proposals under one or more of the following priority areas:

  1. Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTOs)

  2. Transitioning Blue Economy Sectors & Multi-use Infrastructures

  3. Climate-smart Sea-use Planning

  4. Blue Bioresources: Fisheries, Aquaculture & Bio-based Products

  5. Resilient Coastal Communities & Businesses

Important Dates

  • Pre-proposal deadline: 17 November 2025

  • Full proposal deadline: 17 June 2026

Who Can Apply?

Consortia must include partners from at least three different countries participating in the call. Eligible applicants include:

  • Research institutions

  • Public authorities

  • NGOs

  • Industry and SMEs

  • Indigenous Peoples and local communities
