BlueActionAA opened its Community-Led Pilot Action Call (BAAC‑01), inviting local and regional communities across the Atlantic and Arctic basins to lead innovative, high-impact projects aimed at restoring marine and freshwater ecosystems.
This funding opportunity supports the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”, mobilising citizen-led initiatives that contribute to biodiversity protection, pollution reduction, and the development of a sustainable, carbon‑neutral blue economy.
BlueActionAA seeks to empower these groups as agents of long-term environmental impact, helping them transition from innovative ideas to practical restoration solutions.
The scope of the call reflects three overarching EU Mission objectives:
Protect & restore marine and freshwater ecosystems and biodiversity
Prevent & eliminate pollution affecting rivers, seas, and coastal areas
Advance a carbon‑neutral and circular sustainable blue economy
